Catholic Secondary School – 900 students

Nourish was awarded this secondary school in September 2020. At this setting we provide break, lunch and hospitality services. Since mobilisation, we have increased uptake by introducing Grab & Go options and installing our sleek new secondary merchandising.

Upon contract transfer, we listened to the staff and made sure the right people were matched to the best jobs for them to reach their full potential.

Since mobilising the contract, Nourish has worked closely with the school adapting menus and service times as required.

Thank you for such a wonderful, informative parents' evening. It is great to see the school, teachers and staff and hear all about our children, whom you take care of so well. Thomas is in good hands.

The curry and apple crumble left us complete. Do thank the chef who served us, her pride in her work was a joy to see and taste.

Case Study 1 –Primary School

A two-form entry school, this Primary School is split over two sites with a separate site for Infants and Juniors. Nourish prepare and cook the meals for the Junior School and transport this over to the juniors with the main kitchen situated on the infant site.

I have been involved with Nourish since 2004 and the management at Nourish are proactive, visionary, enthusiastic and always supportive. I have no hesitation in fully recommending any school to have their food provided by Nourish.

Mr Nourish’s Cooking Club

One of our most successful initiatives is our Mr Nourish’s Cooking Club aimed at giving primary pupils the opportunity to learn how to prepare and enjoy delicious healthy recipes in a fun kitchen
atmosphere.

As part of the club, children are able to experiment with food – using a variety of different recipes to develop new skills.

Good food in schools does make a difference. I have always been impressed with the professionalism of Nourish staff, the food quality and presentation of meals and the fact that all of my children enjoy eating a broad and balanced diet. A true testament to this is that the number of children eating school meals cooked by Nourish has doubled in the last three years.

This primary school were looking for a proactive supplier to work in partnership to improve the quality of the food and meal uptake. The school wanted a team that worked well together, understanding the pupil requirements and working closely with the school.

Nourish has supported the team on site, working closely with the school to improve the menu offer tailoring this to the pupil demographic.

Nourish have provided an excellent catering service to our school over the past 11 years.
They have developed a good relationship with our parents and work well with our staff to provide a great dining experience for our children.

Since commencement Jayne and her team have worked hard to develop the service. Nourish’s priority when taking over was to settle and establish the team within the kitchen. With the introduction of new menus, through training and a new cook manager, the school now enjoys a freshly produced, compliant menu for all pupils.

Nourish is a flexible organization and willing to go ‘the extra mile’ for the client. Through a close working relationship with the school, well planned menus and good quality food our school dinners have been transformed. I recommend Nourish without reservation.

Supporting our local community

Living Well Bromley

We support the Living Well Charity in Penge – their services are all free to use and include a food bank and a community lunch – where up to 100 people come to enjoy a hot lunch. Nourish provide a meal once a month with food delivered from local schools whereby food is prepared to deliver a well-balanced, nourishing hot meal to be served by volunteers.

Nourish are proud to sponsor and support the local girls under 17 football club, Beckenham Golden Girls. Beckenham Town currently runs 29 teams across all age groups.
